Club overview & Information
The club owns the premises that it is located on. The club leases from Penrith City Council the area that extends to the water. A condition of that lease is that the club must allow public access through that area along the footpath.
To comply with the rules of the club, full members must have the following:
-
Current boat Registration
-
Current comprehensive boat insurance
-
Current Maritime boating licence
Members are required to do one duty day per year, (mowing lawns, cleaning amenities and general tidy up as necessary). The club realises that for some people this is difficult, so there is an option to pay a non-duty day fee.
A member receives a key that fits all of the locks on the gates, clubhouse and amenities. A member is entitled to bring a reasonable amount of guests with them keeping in mind courtesy of other members. A willingness and happiness to share space is expected but also appreciated. A member is entitled to bring only one (1) boat per membership. The club member must always be actually present. Members are provided an annual "member sticker" to attach to their boat to enable easy identification of members.
Tyres are provided by the ski club for mooring of boats for member use only. These are paid for by the ski club and maintained by its members.
The membership fees are paid annually, currently from November to November. At renewal time all the locks are changed and a new key is issued when the fees are paid and renewal documents confirmed for correct completion.
Club meetings are held four (4) times per year with the AGM held in November. All club members are invited to attend (refer meetings tab).
Members are to strictly observe the Safety Rules of the club and RMS rules at all times. For Further information please contact any current committee members, email admin (see Enquires tab) or review the tabs on this website ( www.npbwsclub.com.au )
